According to research, studies and reports, important facts related to Mahatma Gandhi for students are as follows

Gandhiji obtained his degree by studying law from Inner Temple, a law college affiliated to London University. In the year 1891, Gandhiji was issued a certificate of Bar-at-Law. 
When Gandhiji initially started practicing law in the Bombay High Court, he lost his first case. 
Gandhiji helped as a health worker in the ‘Anglo Boer War’ (Anglo–Boer War) of 1899 during his stay in South Africa. At the same time, he had seen the horrors of war for the first time. 
Gandhiji’s teeth were fake. They had a set of false teeth. He always kept his false teeth tied in his dhoti.
Before the year 1921, Gandhi is reported to have worn pants and shirts, but after seeing the poverty spread in the country and the attire of ragged people, he never wore full clothes again. After this he wore dhoti throughout his life.
Mahatma Gandhi’s elder son Hiralal Gandhi converted to Islam in his youth. 
Gandhiji never visited the United States of America nor sat in an airplane.  
Making a handful of salt during the Salt Satyagraha in the year 1930, Gandhi said, “with this one handful of salt I am shaking the roots of the British Empire.”
In the year 1930, Gandhiji was awarded the title of Man of the Year by America’s prestigious ‘time magazine’.
Mahatma Gandhi never received the Nobel Prize but his name was considered for the Nobel Prize a total of five times in the years 1937, 1938, 1939, 1947 and 1948. 
According to media reports, 53 big roads in India are named after the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. While 48 streets abroad are also named after Mahatma Gandhi. 
 More than one million people participated in Gandhiji’s funeral procession in Delhi. Mahatma Gandhi’s funeral procession was 8 kilometers long. His last rites were performed on the banks of Yamuna.

title of Mahatma– Mahatma Gandhi was given the title of “Mahatma” by Rabindranath Tagore.
First Satyagraha Movement – Gandhiji launched his first Satyagraha movement in South Africa in 1906, where he fought for the rights of Indians.
simple lifestyle– they lived a very simple life. He used to weave his own clothes and encourage wearing Khadi.
Gandhiji and train related anecdote– At Pietermaritzburg railway station in South Africa he was thrown out of the first class compartment for being an Indian only. This incident strengthened his feeling of fighting against racism.
Contribution to the freedom struggle– movements like Champaran Satyagraha (1917) and Non-Cooperation Movement (1920) shook the foundation of British rule.
Salt Satyagraha (1930) – On 12 March 1930 Gandhi initiated the Dandi March, in which he traveled 240 miles (385 km) on foot to make salt in violation of British law.
Never received the Nobel Prize– Mahatma Gandhi was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize five times, but he never did it
