• संघीय वाणिज्य एवं उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने बर्लिन में जर्मन संघीय अर्थव्यवस्था एवं ऊर्जा मंत्री कैथरीना रीचे के साथ बैठक की। चर्चा व्यापार, निवेश, प्रौद्योगिकी, हरित ऊर्जा और कौशल में सहयोग बढ़ाने पर केंद्रित थी।
• केंद्रीय विद्युत मंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर ने कहा कि लक्ष्य देश भर में १०० मिलियन स्मार्ट बिजली मीटर स्थापित करना है, जिनमें से १० मिलियन पहले ही स्थापित किए जा चुके हैं।
• उभरते विज्ञान, प्रौद्योगिकी और नवाचार सम्मेलन (ईएसटीआईसी) 2025 का आयोजन 3 से 5 नवंबर तक नई दिल्ली के भारत मंडपम में किया जाएगा। इस संबंध में इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (MeitY) ने नई दिल्ली में एक पर्दा कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया।
• भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने आज तटीय कर्नाटक, केरल, माहे, अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में भारी से बहुत भारी वर्षा के लिए नारंगी रंग की चेतावनी जारी की है। आईएमडी ने आंध्र प्रदेश, कोंकण, गोवा, महाराष्ट्र, तमिलनाडु, पुडुचेरी, कराईकल और तेलंगाना में भारी वर्षा का अनुमान लगाया है।
• उत्तराखंड में, उत्तराखंड के दो विश्व प्रसिद्ध चार धाम तीर्थस्थलों – श्री केदारनाथ धाम और यमुनोत्री धाम – के द्वार भाई दूज के अवसर पर पारंपरिक अनुष्ठानों और मंत्रों के जाप के साथ औपचारिक रूप से बंद कर दिए गए।
• रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह की अध्यक्षता में रक्षा अधिग्रहण परिषद ने सशस्त्र बलों की क्षमता बढ़ाने के लिए लगभग 79 हजार करोड़ रुपये के प्रस्तावों को मंजूरी दी।

• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प का कहना है कि यदि इजरायल पश्चिमी तट पर कब्जा कर लेता है तो वह अमेरिका से अपना सारा समर्थन खो देगा। अमेरिकी समाचार पत्रिका टाइम में प्रकाशित एक साक्षात्कार में श्री ट्रम्प ने कहा कि पश्चिमी तट पर इजरायल का कब्जा इसलिए नहीं होगा क्योंकि उन्होंने अपनी बात कह दी है।
• रूस का कहना है कि संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका द्वारा उसके तेल उद्योग पर लगाए गए नए प्रतिबंधों से यूक्रेन युद्ध को समाप्त करने के कूटनीतिक प्रयासों को नुकसान पहुंचने का खतरा है। विदेश मंत्रालय की प्रवक्ता मारिया ज़खारोवा ने आज मास्को में एक संवाददाता सम्मेलन में कहा कि रूस ने प्रतिबंधों के प्रति मजबूत प्रतिरक्षा विकसित कर ली है।
• नेशनल सिटीजन पार्टी (एनसीपी) ने बांग्लादेश चुनाव आयोग (ईसी) की निष्पक्षता पर गंभीर चिंता जताई है तथा आगामी राष्ट्रीय चुनावों से पहले पूरे आयोग का पुनर्गठन करने की मांग की है।
• संयुक्त राष्ट्र के विशेष दूत हंस ग्रुंडबर्ग के कार्यालय के एक बयान में कहा गया है कि यमन की राजधानी सना में हौथियों द्वारा पिछले सप्ताह हिरासत में लिए गए संयुक्त राष्ट्र के 12 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कर्मचारियों को रिहा कर दिया गया और देश से बाहर भेज दिया गया।
