•India slammed Pakistan for the misuse of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) platform. Briefing the media in New Delhi ,Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said it is a longstanding habit of Islamabad, and New Delhi has regularly spoken out against it.
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two day visit to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday at the invitation of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This will be PM Modi’s third visit to the Kingdom after his previous visits in 2016 and 2019.
•In line with its self-reliance mission, ISRO has developed an alternative for the imported Columbium material used for the nozzle divergent in the fourth stage of the PSLV launch vehicle. It has indigenously developed the nozzle divergent made of Stellite.
•Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address Civil Servants on the 21st of this month on the occasion of the 17th Civil Services Day in New Delhi. Mr Modi will also confer the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration. This year, 16 awards will be given by the Prime Minister.
•India’s pharmaceutical exports surpassed 30 billion dollar in the last financial year, with the United States remaining a key market, accounting for more than one-third of the country’s total pharma exports.

•Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an Easter truce in the conflict in Ukraine starting this evening and lasting till midnight on Sunday.
•Pakistan was jolted by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake but no loss of life and property has been reported so far. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, the epicentre was located near the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region, with a depth of 94 kilometres.
•In Bangladesh, a prominent Hindu community leader of Biral upazila in Dinajpur district was allegedly abducted from his home and beaten to death on Thursday afternoon.

•In Squash, Veer Chotrani and Anahat Singh advanced to the finals of the World Championship Qualifying Event (Asia) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
