• नागालैंड में दो दिवसीय २२ वां राष्ट्रमंडल संसदीय संघ (सीपीए) भारत क्षेत्र जोन-III सम्मेलन संपन्न हुआ। यह सम्मेलन “नीति, प्रगति और लोग: परिवर्तन के उत्प्रेरक के रूप में विधानमंडल” विषय के अंतर्गत आयोजित किया गया था।
• रेल मंत्रालय ने कहा है कि ऑपरेशन नान्हे फरिश्ते के तहत रेलवे पुलिस बल (आरपीएफ) ने इस साल जनवरी से अक्टूबर के बीच भारतीय रेलवे में १६ हजार से अधिक बच्चों को बचाया है।
• प्रेस सूचना ब्यूरो ने गोवा में आगामी भारतीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय फिल्म महोत्सव के लिए मीडिया सुविधा बढ़ाने हेतु कई नई पहलों की घोषणा की है।
• इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय ने गैर-सहमति वाली अंतरंग छवियों को हटाने और रोकने के तंत्र को मजबूत करने के लिए एक मानक संचालन प्रक्रिया (एसओपी) जारी की है।

• भारत ने भूटान की पंचवर्षीय योजना में ₹10,000 करोड़ के योगदान की घोषणा की
• केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री राम मोहन नायडू ने माले में मालदीव के राष्ट्रपति डॉ. मोहम्मद मुइज्जू से मुलाकात की। बैठक के दौरान मंत्री ने द्विपक्षीय सहयोग को गहरा करने तथा दोनों देशों के लिए पारस्परिक रूप से लाभकारी परिणाम देने वाली पहलों को आगे बढ़ाने के प्रति भारत की प्रतिबद्धता की पुनः पुष्टि की।
• विदेश मंत्री डॉ. एस. जयशंकर कनाडा की विदेश मंत्री सुश्री अनीता आनंद के निमंत्रण पर आउटरीच पार्टनर्स के साथ जी7 विदेश मंत्रियों’ की बैठक में भाग लेने के लिए आज कनाडा के ओन्टारियो का दौरा करेंगे।
• ताइवान ने तूफान फंग-वोंग के आगमन के लिए भूमि चेतावनी जारी करते हुए 3,000 से अधिक लोगों को निकाला। तूफान फंग-वोंग के कारण ताइवान के पहाड़ी पूर्वी तट पर भारी मात्रा में बारिश होने की आशंका है, जो हाल ही में एक अन्य तूफान से प्रभावित हुआ था।
• भारत और भूटान के बीच सफल ऊर्जा साझेदारी में एक और प्रमुख मील का पत्थर पुनात्संगचू-II जलविद्युत परियोजना के उद्घाटन के साथ हस्ताक्षरित हुआ।
• अमेरिकी सीनेट ने सरकार को पुनः खोलने तथा अब तक के सबसे लम्बे समय से चल रहे सरकारी बंद को समाप्त करने के लिए विधेयक पारित कर दिया है। सांसदों ने विधेयक को 60-40 मतों से पारित कर दिया। यह विधेयक अब प्रतिनिधि सभा के लिए भेजा जा रहा है, जहां आज मतदान होने की उम्मीद है।
• रक्षा सचिव राजेश कुमार सिंह और वियतनाम के डिप्टी चीफ ऑफ जनरल स्टाफ, वरिष्ठ लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल फुंग सी टैन ने भारत-वियतनाम सेना अभ्यास के 6वें संस्करण के उद्घाटन समारोह की अध्यक्षता की।
