• सर्वोच्च न्यायालय आज चुनाव आयोग के 24 जून के उस निर्णय को चुनौती देने वाली याचिकाओं पर सुनवाई करने वाला है, जिसमें मतदान के लिए बाध्य बिहार में मतदाता सूचियों का विशेष गहन संशोधन (एसआईआर) करने का निर्णय लिया गया था।

• जापानी प्रधान मंत्री शिगेरु इशिबा ने चुनावी हार के बाद एक साल से भी कम समय के बाद इस्तीफा दे दिया, जिससे उनकी सत्तारूढ़ लिबरल डेमोक्रेटिक पार्टी, एलडीपी को अपना संसदीय बहुमत खोना पड़ा।
• बांग्लादेश में प्रतिबंधित अवामी लीग के एक हजार से अधिक कार्यकर्ताओं ने पार्टी प्रमुख शेख हसीना के समर्थन में नारे लगाते हुए ढाका में संसद परिसर के पास विरोध मार्च निकाला।
