• भारतीय तटरक्षक बल (आईसीजी) ने आठ एडम्या श्रेणी के फास्ट पैट्रोल जहाजों (एफपीवी) में से दूसरे जहाज अक्षर को पुडुचेरी के कराईकल में तैनात किया। इस 51 मीटर एफपीवी को 60 प्रतिशत से अधिक स्वदेशी सामग्री के साथ डिजाइन किया गया है, जिससे भारत की समुद्री क्षमताएं मजबूत होंगी।
• सरकार ने राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग शुल्क (दरों और संग्रह का निर्धारण) नियम, 2008 में संशोधन किया है। नए नियम के तहत, वैध, कार्यात्मक फास्टैग के बिना शुल्क प्लाजा में प्रवेश करने वाले वाहनों से लागू उपयोगकर्ता शुल्क का दोगुना शुल्क लिया जाएगा, यदि शुल्क का भुगतान नकद में किया जाता है।
• वरिष्ठ अभिनेत्री और प्रसिद्ध नर्तकी संध्या शांताराम का अंतिम संस्कार मुंबई के शिवाजी पार्क श्मशान में किया गया। ८७ साल की उम्र में उनका निधन हो गया। संध्या को फिल्म निर्माता वी. शांताराम के क्लासिक नवरंग गीत ‘अरे जा रे हाट नटखट’ से प्रसिद्धि मिली।

• जन्मसिद्ध नागरिकता को कम करने के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के प्रयास को दूसरी अमेरिकी अपील अदालत ने असंवैधानिक घोषित कर दिया। बोस्टन स्थित प्रथम अमेरिकी न्यायालय का तीन न्यायाधीशों का पैनल सर्किट कोर्ट ऑफ अपील्स ने डेमोक्रेटिक नेतृत्व वाले राज्यों और आप्रवासी अधिकार अधिवक्ताओं द्वारा जीते गए फैसलों को बरकरार रखा।
• चीन की राष्ट्रीय वेधशाला ने तूफान मैटमो के मजबूत होने और देश के दक्षिणी तट की ओर बढ़ने के लिए नारंगी अलर्ट जारी किया है। राष्ट्रीय मौसम विज्ञान केंद्र के अनुसार, तूफान २५ से ३० किलोमीटर प्रति घंटे की रफ्तार से उत्तर-पश्चिम की ओर बढ़ रहा था।
