The Government has reduced GST on several items across different categories. GST reducing rate will be effective from 22th of this month. Briefing the media in New Delhi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that GST on common man and middle-class items has been reduced.

• सरकार ने विभिन्न श्रेणियों की कई वस्तुओं पर जीएसटी कम कर दिया है। जीएसटी कम करने की दर इस महीने की २२ तारीख से प्रभावी होगी। नई दिल्ली में मीडिया को जानकारी देते हुए वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि आम आदमी और मध्यम वर्ग की वस्तुओं पर जीएसटी कम कर दिया गया है।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण द्वारा घोषित जीएसटी में अगली पीढ़ी के सुधारों की सराहना की। एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में श्री मोदी ने कहा कि सरकार ने जीएसटी दरों में कटौती करने का निर्णय लिया है जिससे आम आदमी, किसानों, एमएसएमई, मध्यम वर्ग, महिलाओं और युवाओं को लाभ होगा।
• केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान और केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री अन्नपूर्णा देवी ने विज्ञान भवन, नई दिल्ली में स्कूलों के साथ आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों के सह-स्थान के लिए दिशानिर्देश लॉन्च किए।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने द्वितीयक स्रोतों से महत्वपूर्ण खनिजों के पृथक्करण और उत्पादन के लिए देश में पुनर्चक्रण क्षमता विकसित करने हेतु एक हजार 500 करोड़ रुपये की प्रोत्साहन योजना को मंजूरी दी।
• उत्तर भारत में लगातार बारिश से तबाही मची हुई है, जिससे कई राज्य जलमग्न सड़कों, बाढ़ की चेतावनी और व्यापक विनाश से जूझ रहे हैं। जम्मू-कश्मीर, हिमाचल प्रदेश और उत्तराखंड में पिछले कुछ दिनों में कई बादल फटने से अचानक बाढ़ की एक श्रृंखला शुरू हो गई है।
• संघीय लोक सेवा आयोग के अध्यक्ष डॉ. अजय कुमार ने घोषणा की कि यूपीएससी यूपीएससी और राज्य लोक सेवा आयोगों की सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं के भंडार के रूप में एक उत्कृष्टता केंद्र स्थापित करेगा।
• केंद्रीय विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने भारी बारिश की पृष्ठभूमि में पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय और भारत मौसम विज्ञान विभाग के कामकाज की समीक्षा की।
