• The Deendayal Port Authority, Kandla, has commissioned India’s 1st Make-in-India Green Hydrogen Plant in the port sector at Kandla. The Port Authority said, it is a powerful stride towards the Net Zero vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed sadness over the loss of lives due to an accident in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. In a social media post, Mr Modi expressed condolences to those who have lost their loved ones in the mishap.

• The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), in consultation with the Ministry of Ayush, has released a definitive list of Ayurvedic food preparations under the category of “Ayurveda Aahara.”

International updates

• Iran has fully reopened its airspace following a ceasefire with Israel. The country’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) confirmed that both domestic and international flights have returned to normal.

• The President of the Philippines, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr, will arrive in New Delhi today afternoon on a five-day State Visit to India. He will be accompanied by First Lady Louise Araneta Marcos and a high-level delegation including several Cabinet Ministers.

• Massive pro-Palestinian protests erupted worldwide against the ongoing war and famine in Gaza. In Sydney, tens of thousands of people marched across the Harbour Bridge in solidarity with Palestine.

• The Krasheninnikov Volcano on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula erupted for the first time in recorded history, its first in 600 years.

• A big fire broke out at an oil depot near Russia’s Black Sea resort of Sochi. Russian officials said it was caused by a Ukrainian drone attack.

• A powerful 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Russia’s Kuril Islands. The quake triggered a tsunami warning for parts of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula.

Sports Updates

• Punjab’s Namdhari FC defeated Indian Air Force by 4-2 in a Durand Cup match at the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

• In athletics, Olympians Tajinderpal Singh Toor, Sarvesh Kushare, and Vithya Ramraj won their titles at the Indian Grand Prix 3 in Ludhiana. Tajinderpal dominated the men’s shot put with a throw of 18.93 meters, ahead of Iqbal Singh Chahal, 17.46m and Sahib Singh, 17.25m.

• In Wrestling, India’s Lacky clinched the 110 kg men’s freestyle silver medal at the Under-17 World Championships in Athens, Greece.

• India’s Murali Sreeshankar clinched the gold medal in the men’s long jump at the 2025 Qosanov Memorial, a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze event in Kazakhstan.

कांडला स्थित दीनदयाल बंदरगाह प्राधिकरण ने बंदरगाह क्षेत्र में भारत का पहला मेक-इन-इंडिया ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन प्लांट चालू किया है। बंदरगाह प्राधिकरण ने कहा कि यह प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेट ज़ीरो विजन की दिशा में एक सशक्त कदम है।

• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने उत्तर प्रदेश के गोंडा में हुई एक दुर्घटना में हुई जानमाल की हानि पर दुख व्यक्त किया है। एक सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में, श्री मोदी ने इस दुर्घटना में अपने प्रियजनों को खोने वालों के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त की।

इज़राइल के साथ युद्धविराम के बाद ईरान ने अपना हवाई क्षेत्र पूरी तरह से खोल दिया है। देश के नागरिक उड्डयन संगठन (सीएओ) ने पुष्टि की है कि घरेलू और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दोनों उड़ानें सामान्य हो गई हैं।

• फिलीपींस के राष्ट्रपति फर्डिनेंड आर. मार्कोस जूनियर आज दोपहर भारत की पाँच दिवसीय राजकीय यात्रा पर नई दिल्ली पहुँचेंगे। उनके साथ प्रथम महिला लुईस अरनेटा मार्कोस और कई कैबिनेट मंत्रियों सहित एक उच्च-स्तरीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल भी होगा।

• एथलेटिक्स में, ओलंपियन तजिंदरपाल सिंह तूर, सर्वेश कुशारे और विथ्या रामराज ने लुधियाना में इंडियन ग्रां प्री 3 में अपने खिताब जीते। तजिंदरपाल ने पुरुषों की शॉटपुट स्पर्धा में 18.93 मीटर के थ्रो के साथ दबदबा बनाया, जो इकबाल सिंह चहल (17.46 मीटर) और साहिब सिंह (17.25 मीटर) से आगे रहे।
