• The Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI has registered a case in connection with an alleged paper leak in the conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-UG 2026. The Agency has registered the case based on a written complaint received from Department of Higher Education.

• The political situation in Tamil Nadu has turned dramatic ahead of tomorrow’s floor test for the newly elected TVK Government led by Joseph Vijay. The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has split into two groups over extending support to the Government.

• Cyber Crime Coordination sign MoU with RBI to curtail mule accounts

• India will host the BRICS foreign ministers meeting on 14th and 15th of this month. The meeting will be chaired by External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar.

• Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has announced to constitute a high-powered committee headed by Supreme Court Justice Aravind Kumar to prepare a blueprint for the modernisation of courts across the country and secure a government allocation of 40 to 50 thousand crore rupees for the purpose.

• The National Testing Agency has decided to cancel the NEET (UG) 2026 examination conducted on 3rd of this month for admission to undergraduate medical education. In a social media post, NTA informed that this decision has been taken in the interest of students.

• Israel’s parliament, the Knesset has passed legislation establishing a special military tribunal to prosecute Palestinian militants accused of involvement in the October 7, attacks on Israel. According to local media reports, the bill was approved with 93 votes in favour and none against.

• Kuwait accused Iran of sending an armed Revolutionary Guard team to attack an island the West Asian nation. Iran didn’t immediately acknowledge the allegation by Kuwait, which came under repeated attack by Iran in the war.

• British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has defended his leadership amid growing pressure within the ruling Labour Party. Some ministers and party members are demanding that he announced a timetable for stepping down as party leader.

• Pakistan quietly permitted Iranian military aircraft to be stationed at its airbases during the recent conflict between Iran and the United States, despite publicly portraying itself as a mediator to end the war between Tehran and Washington. A US-based media report said this.

• जोसेफ विजय के नेतृत्व वाली नवनिर्वाचित टीवीके सरकार के कल होने वाले फ्लोर टेस्ट से पहले तमिलनाडु में राजनीतिक स्थिति नाटकीय हो गई है। अखिल भारतीय अन्ना द्रविड़ मुनेत्र कड़गम सरकार को समर्थन देने को लेकर दो समूहों में बंट गई हैं।
