India’s space agency ISRO successfully launched the LVM3-M5 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota yesterday at 5:35 pm. The rocket carried CMS-03, the country’s heaviest communication satellite ever sent to space. It marked the fifth operational flight of the LVM3 launcher.

• भारत की अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी इसरो ने कल शाम ५:३५ बजे श्रीहरिकोटा के सतीश धवन अंतरिक्ष केंद्र से एलवीएम३-एम५ रॉकेट को सफलतापूर्वक लॉन्च किया। रॉकेट में सीएमएस-03 था, जो अंतरिक्ष में भेजा गया देश का अब तक का सबसे भारी संचार उपग्रह था। यह LVM3 लॉन्चर की पांचवीं परिचालन उड़ान थी।
• भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में भारी वर्षा का अनुमान लगाया है। मौसम एजेंसी ने मध्य महाराष्ट्र, मराठवाड़ा, राजस्थान और पश्चिम मध्य प्रदेश में बिजली गिरने और तेज़ हवाओं के साथ तूफान आने की भविष्यवाणी की है।
• त्रि-सेवा अभ्यास – त्रिशूल का संचालन भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा भारतीय सेना और भारतीय वायु सेना के साथ संयुक्त रूप से प्रमुख सेवा के रूप में किया जा रहा है और यह इस महीने की 13 तारीख तक जारी रहेगा।

• तालिबान के एक प्रवक्ता ने घोषणा की कि भारत ने मलेरिया, डेंगू और लीशमैनियासिस जैसी वेक्टर जनित बीमारियों से निपटने में मदद के लिए अफगानिस्तान को 16 टन से अधिक दवाएं पहुंचाई हैं।
• इंटरनेशनल फेडरेशन ऑफ जर्नलिस्ट्स (आईएफजे) ने पाकिस्तान में मीडिया की स्वतंत्रता के लिए बढ़ते खतरों पर गंभीर चिंता जताई है।
• रूस ने अपनी नवीनतम परमाणु पनडुब्बी ‘खाबरोवस्क’ लॉन्च की है, जिसे पानी के नीचे के परमाणु ड्रोन ‘पोसाइडन’ को ले जाने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया है, जिसे ‘प्रलय दिवस मिसाइल’ के रूप में भी जाना जाता है, जो अंतरमहाद्वीपीय यात्रा और भारी विनाश में सक्षम है।
• मध्य वियतनाम में रिकॉर्ड तोड़ बारिश और अचानक आई बाढ़ से कम से कम 35 लोगों की मौत हो गई, पांच लापता हो गए और 60 घायल हो गए। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि १६,५०० से अधिक घर जलमग्न हैं और चरम पर १००,००० से अधिक लोग बाढ़ में डूब गए, जबकि ४२,००० पशुधन नष्ट हो गए।
